Support & Technical FAQ

Instant answers covering our local-first IndexedDB architecture.

Do you store any user files or telemetry on external servers?

Zero bytes leave your device. All 15 utilities operate locally inside your browser's sandboxed IndexedDB storage. We run zero analytics tracking, zero session cookies, and zero database servers.

How do I migrate my workspace databases to a new computer?

Open Lumist Safe (/safe/workspace) and click 'Export Master JSON'. Save this backup file to an external drive or email it to yourself. On your new computer, open Lumist Safe and select 'Restore JSON' to restore your entire workspace state instantly.

How do I correct an accidental runaway stopwatch timer in Flow?

Flow measures elapsed time via absolute UNIX timestamps. To adjust a running timer, click the Edit pencil icon on your task card to open the Time Logs ledger. Delete the unneeded interval or manually enter corrected hours.

Why does Direct Folder Sync (Auto-Save) pause in Firefox or Safari?

The File System Access API requires native directory handle support, which Chromium browsers provide. Firefox and Safari restrict direct directory writing due to sandbox policies. In non-Chromium browsers, use the standard one-click 'Export Master JSON' button to preserve records.
