Why does Direct Folder Sync require a Chromium-based browser?

The File System Access API requires native directory handle support, which modern Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) provide. Non-Chromium environments (Safari, Firefox, LibreWolf) restrict direct filesystem writing due to platform sandboxing policies. In those browsers, use the standard one-click Export Master JSON button.

Does auto-save continue executing if the browser is closed?

Auto-save operates strictly while you have an active Lumist Studio tab open. Lumist runs zero background daemons or remote tracking servers, meaning all automated sync intervals pause when you close the browser.

Can I back up individual applications instead of the Master backup?

Safe standardizes on Unified Master backups to prevent relational corruption across interconnected tools (such as Tally compiling time records directly from Flow). For isolated data exports, use the spreadsheet CSV export features built directly into Flow and Tally.
